Feature

Production management, without a separate consumption calculation

At the end of a run you enter what actually happened on the floor: cases produced, loose accepted bottles, and anything rejected. Bottle Flow works out what that run consumed in raw materials, because every product already carries its bottles-per-case and the bottle and cap it uses.

Cases and loose bottles, together
A production entry covers full cases and any loose accepted bottles from the same run, so a partial case isn’t left unrecorded.
Automatic bottle and cap consumption
Because each product is linked to its bottle and cap material at setup, posting a production run deducts the right quantity of each from raw material stock without anyone working out the arithmetic.
Rejections recorded, not hidden
Rejected empty and rejected capped bottles are their own fields on the same entry, so a run’s real yield is on record, not folded into the accepted count.
Low stock surfaces on its own
When a run pushes a material below the threshold you set for it, the dashboard flags it without anyone having to check the stock screen first.

Questions

About production management.

Do I need to calculate how many preforms and caps a production run used?

No. Each product carries its bottles-per-case and the bottle and cap material it consumes, set up once. Enter cases produced and rejections, and Bottle Flow deducts the correct raw material quantities on its own.

How do stock levels update after a production run?

Automatically. Production consumes the bottle and cap materials for the cases and loose bottles recorded, and adds the accepted output to finished case stock, in the same posted entry.
